Rachel Osbourne is an independent Jamaican-Canadian casting director based in Toronto. She is an advocate for the casting of authentic talent through her work as the founder of nuance casting.

She has cast talent for 2023 TIFF official selection Express short film from director Ivan D. Ossa; upcoming feature from director Fitch Jean, It Comes in Waves; 2024 TIFF official selection After Sunday short film from director Omolola Ajao; and the upcoming short from director Bernard Gray, The Other Stuff. As an assistant, Rachel has helped cast talent on Global TV's Robyn Hood, the CBC/BBC series Gangnam Project, and the Netflix docudrama Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War.

When she isn’t casting, Rachel is writing, illustrating, or cooking – and sharing the experiences with her young daughter.

She released her debut children’s book A Safer Place to Stay in November 2024.
