Add Items
Your Bitwarden vault stores and encrypts four types of items:
Card
Identity
Secure Note (or file attachement)
Add items manually, import data from another password manager, or import from a spreadsheet.
ADD A LOGIN
A login is the username and password you use to enter an account on the internet, in an app, or on desktop software. To prompt auto-fill for a web or app login, include the Unique Resource Identifier (URI) when you add the item.
Follow these steps to add a login:
From the Vaults dashboard, click the New dropdown menu, then select Item.
Select Login from the dropdown menu.
Select a Folder to organize your item.
Enter the following login information:
Username
Password
URI
Notes
Select whether you want to protect this item with the Master Password re-prompt.
From the Ownership dropdown, select whether the item is owned by your individual vault or your organization’s vault.
Select which Collections the item belongs to.
Click Save.
For advanced setup, Bitwarden also allows you to add Authenticator Keys and Custom Fields.
